Tuesday Feb 18

This is C checking her emails in the Tallahassee B&B.

We were the only guests so we had the run of the guest part of the house.

This is the house at Pebble Hills Plantation on the way to Thomasville in Georgia. That's just up the road from Tallahassee. We went over the state line because neither of us had been to Georgia.

The PHP as it's known was owned by a series of huntin', shootin' and fishin' women. The house was rebuilt after a disastrous fire in 1934 so isn't that old but the interior is a bit of a time warp.

This is a magnolia tree being eaten by Spanish Moss.

This is a close-up.

This is Carolyn in the coach house.

The rest of the day was taken up with driving to St. Augustine, of which more tomorrow.

Location:Tallahassee to St. Augustine via Georgia

  1. Loved the magnolia tree being devoured by the Spanish moss. Again you seem to be the only people around
