Here's our friendly capybara. Actually he's wondering if we are coming to eat him. I'm not sure how they're related to the coypu at large in East Anglia, if at all. They come from South America.
The zoo was having a 'seniors' day yesterday. Over 55s got in for nothing - with ID. Since I didn't have any money I left my wallet behind, so had no such thing, but they let me in anyway. Glaswegians will be please to know that Americans are catching them up in gastronomy by deep-frying Oreo cookies in batter (like Bourbon biscuits but round).



We learnt that red wolves existed in the wild in Florida until the 70s which I would never have guessed. They're the size of Labradors but leaner and lope as if they could keep it up all day.
