On the road Friday 14th

We are Comfort-ably Inn-stalled in the Comfort Inn, Gainesville after an uneventful drive from CB. We have to make room for one of our hosts' grandchildren who is coming down for his Half Term. We stopped at a State Park at a warm spring on the northern outskirts of Orlando where we failed to take any pictures with my camera.






Carolyn, however, took this one with her camera, uploaded it to her Facebook account from the camera, downloaded it to her iPad and emailed it to me, whereupon I added it to the blog! He is a Gopher Tortoise called Lucky, having survived being run over by a car and having his shell super-glued back together.
We also met a Corn Snake and a Pine Snake, a baby alligator and the friendly curator of the small museum / zoo on the site. Corn snakes are really smooth to the touch as we discovered when 'Andy' let us stroke him!
We got lost trying to find the Florida Turnpike north because of a combination of insufficiently detailed paper maps and out-of-date mapping data in our trusty Tom Tom. We must give 'Jane' a brain update before we come again.
Last night we had a splendid meal at the oddly named 'Crush restaurant' before going to see 'The Music Man'. The exposition of the menu by our friendly waiter was a bit OTT but the food was very good.
