Thursday part 2

This is Port Canaveral's version of Portsmouth's Spinnaker Tower or Whitehaven's Beacon. Luckily the lifts are on the inside because it was very windy. It is a six-floor visitor centre with stuff about the history of the port. Unlike Portsmouth or Whitehaven the harbour is mostly artificial.

Here are a couple of cruise ships moored alongside. The one on the left is Disney, the other one is Carnival Lines I think.

This is Doraleen looking cool on a surfboard.

This is a view Northwestward with various Kennedy Space Center installations on the horizon. The one just right of centre is the Vehicle Assembly Building.

  1. I like the comparison with Portsmouth Spinnaker Tower. We just need the blue sky and fluffy white clouds in the background to make it a dead ringer. Things have been so dire here our local paper is now publishing weather jokes etc and sunny pictures to cheer us up. My favourite so far "If all the reporters would get out of the flooded streams the water levels might go down"Enjoy being snow geese while we are just growing webbed feet.X
